She's Back!!

Hi anyone who is reading this..which is probably no one but I don't care! I did it..I landed a job in NYC, picked up, and now am living with 2 guys in Union Square. It was the most amazing/terrifying experience of my life and I am SO glad I did it.

Network, network, network..that's how you get places. My friend from Towson hooked me up with an interview at her company and va-la. Here I am. Then, my sister's boyfriend's brother's girlfriend (I know) was looking to sublet her beautiful brownstone bedroom in the center of the most perfect area in Manhattan.

I couldn't be happier. "Anything is possible, everything happens for a reason, and keep on keepin' on." You'll get there...I'm not there yet, but I'm on my way!

I'll keep you in the loop more frequently friends!

Day 2...

Well ok..I got a job, but lets just say it wasn't easy and I'm not done looking. Yes this is like a big REAL job however it's not my dream job. I envision myself working with high fashion people, with friends who go to all the hottest restaurants. AKA I need to move out of the suburbs of NJ. This job may not be my goal, however I know I will learn a lot because I will be doing a lot. P.R., advertising, public speaking..those will be my responsibilities just not directed towards a high class, young professional target.

So my point today is don't settle. Be smart and realistic, but don't EVER stop shooting for what you want. I will get there one day and so will you.

Day Number 1

So this is my first day of blogging, but my 4th month of being unemployed. Just like everyone else I have been applying online...which gets you no where. IT'S WHO YOU KNOW. Use your contacts..don't be scared what is the worst that can happen! I know it's intimidating to ask friends of friends, but hey YOU NEED A JOB!

Do everything you can even if you think it's pointless. I made a LinkedIn and got a phone interview out of it. No job, but atleast it gave me some practice. Who knows..maybe this Blog will help me.
